Sadiqa Smith-Ford I’m an NYC-based event producer with over 15 years of experience leading strategic, high-impact events across nonprofit, corporate, and creative spaces.
My background spans public service, hospitality, and independent production—giving me a unique ability to balance operational excellence with human-centered design. I began my career with NYC Parks, where I spent over 11 years overseeing staff, budgets, and borough-wide programming in leadership roles that required close collaboration with elected officials, community partners, and senior stakeholders.
After launching my own event planning business, I produced a wide range of experiences including weddings, corporate events, fashion shows, book launches, restaurant campaigns, and multi-day conferences. I later transitioned into operations and now serve as Senior Manager of Special Events at Hope for New York, where I oversee the full lifecycle of events ranging from small donor gatherings to a flagship annual benefit generating over $1.2 million in revenue.
In addition to production and execution, I work closely with the Communications and Marketing Director as a visual storyteller—ensuring each event is supported by cohesive messaging, digital assets, and brand-forward storytelling.
Known for my calm leadership style, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, I bring structure to complexity and warmth to every project I touch.
